Required within 30 days if
you have become a resident of Florida, are employed by Florida or have
registered a child in a Florida public school.
New residents are required
to pass only a vision exam if they have a valid driver’s license from another
state.
Your vehicle must be
registered before you can get a driver’s license.
A new license costs $20 and
is valid six years. License renewal is $15.
An appointment to get the
license is recommended. Call for information at nearest office. All of them are
open Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and some are open on
Monday.
Hunting & Fishing License
Obtaining a fishing or
hunting license requires only having a Florida driver's license and paying the
appropriate fee.
Hunting licenses cost
$12.50, fresh or saltwater fishing licenses cost $13.50; each is good for one
year. You can obtain your license of choice at the Tax Collector's office.
Boat Registration
If a person resides within
the state for more than 90 days they are required to register their boat. Done
at the Tax Collector's office there will be a $6 to $10 title fee plus a decal
fee varying on the size of the boat. Lengths of less than six feet are $7.25,
65-100 ft. are $102.25, and mid-sized prices within that range.
